Happy Birthday Emma!

Image
Happy 9th Birthday Emma! She is growing into quite the beautiful young lady! Who is full of fun and love!

Trick or Treat

Image
Trick or Treating Fun! I realized that I didn't get any pictures of Emma actually trick-or-treating! Probably because it was so cold and I didn't want to take my gloves off to take a picture! Oh well... the candy and experience is what matters right?? Emma and all her loot!  The lone piece that she bestowed upon me...  (Just kidding, she gave me more later.) A fun pumpkin on someone's porch

Fun at the park

Image
We have had a beautiful fall for the most part this year. By now we're usually thoroughly soaked by the rain. Since it was such a beautiful day, we did a light school day and met some friends at the park! Silly friends....  Sweet friends...  Great friends...

Halloween Fun

This year Emma dressed up as Nancy Drew! She's been reading the books and recently watched the new movie. She loves trying to solve mysteries too! We were invited to our friends' Annual Fall Harvest Party. Again a great time was had by all! Yummy punch! Well that is before it was ruined with sherbert!   Creepy monsters... Melted witches...

Yummy Fall Treats

Image
I came across these fun fall treats through a blog that I like to read. They looked like a fun and simple project for Emma and I to do on a Sunday afternoon! All you need are the ingredients below!   Take a melt a small hand full of the mini chocolate chips in the microwave. Melt until they are gooey and melted (check them about every 10 seconds).  Then use the melted chocolate as "glue" to glue the kisses to the tops of the Nutter Butters. Then use a little chocolate "glue" to attach a mini chocolate chip for a tip! And voila! Yummy acorn treats!

5 kids sittin' on a couch...

One of these kids is taking up almost half the couch! Boy he needs to learn some manners...

Through the years...

I mentioned in my earlier post about how we have gone to Schilter Farms since Emma was born. The first time we went she would have been 11 months old (since she was born in November).  This was her just a few weeks ago...  And this was her back in 2004. I don't have a digital picture of her first year so here is her second year...  Look at those cheeks!  This year.... Last year...  2004 What happened??

Pumpkin Patch

Image
We took our annual trip to Schilter Farms a couple of weeks ago. Emma loves it because of the kitties. We love it because we've taken Emma there every year since she was born. Robert is posing with her perfect pumpkin she picked out. I can't believe she is just shy of 5' tall! Can you tell she loves the kitties? We had to go back before we left...

Field Trip to the Hands On Museum

Image
I took Emma and a couple of her friends to the Children's Hands On Museum this week. They had a great time pretending to be... A rock star A construction worker A beautiful & happy girl! (This one isn't pretending!)

All in a day of homeschooling! :-)

Fun with pictures & school!

Image
We had a delay in school this morning due to camera fun! :-) These are just a few of the fun pictures we took! But at last we got started with our school! We finished up with this fun experiment! We are making "Fool's Jewels" from our story of Jacques Cartier's discovery of "jewels" in his exploration to Canada! In a couple of days these will be some yummy treats to eat!

All in a day of homeschooling

We finally got a camera after all these months! I missed having one so much! So today I went picture crazy! These are just a few of the things we did today. These pictures were from an Atom & Molecule experiment we did today. It involved placing copper wires that were attached to a battery into a glass of water. This was the results! No this is not blue kool-aid... I've already made that mistake once in my lifetime... (right Carrie & Jenna?!?) This is what Mac does while we do our homeschooling... how helpful! Quite the swimmer! More pictures to come! :-)
