Snow Days!

Image
One of the things I miss the most living in the Northwest is.... SNOW! I grew up with snow all winter long! We rarely get any good snow, we're lucky if it's once a year. This week we got some alright... over 29" total! Last night through this morning we received 17"! As the principal & administrator, I declared some good old fashioned snow days! Emma and I had a blast in the snow! We made a snowgirl, had a snowball fight (I won of course! I am not sure why she thought she could beat the snowball champion!) and went sledding!  Emma and Emma! :)   We had over 6" on the edge of the truck alone!  Snow Angel Emma 17" just from midnight Tuesday through about 10am Wednesday morning!  Poor snow Emma! We had to dig her out!

Happy Birthday Emma!

Happy 9th Birthday Emma! She is growing into quite the beautiful young lady! Who is full of fun and love!

Trick or Treat

Image
Trick or Treating Fun! I realized that I didn't get any pictures of Emma actually trick-or-treating! Probably because it was so cold and I didn't want to take my gloves off to take a picture! Oh well... the candy and experience is what matters right?? Emma and all her loot!  The lone piece that she bestowed upon me...  (Just kidding, she gave me more later.) A fun pumpkin on someone's porch

Fun at the park

We have had a beautiful fall for the most part this year. By now we're usually thoroughly soaked by the rain. Since it was such a beautiful day, we did a light school day and met some friends at the park! Silly friends....  Sweet friends...  Great friends...

Halloween Fun

This year Emma dressed up as Nancy Drew! She's been reading the books and recently watched the new movie. She loves trying to solve mysteries too! We were invited to our friends' Annual Fall Harvest Party. Again a great time was had by all! Yummy punch! Well that is before it was ruined with sherbert!   Creepy monsters... Melted witches...

Yummy Fall Treats

Image
I came across these fun fall treats through a blog that I like to read. They looked like a fun and simple project for Emma and I to do on a Sunday afternoon! All you need are the ingredients below!   Take a melt a small hand full of the mini chocolate chips in the microwave. Melt until they are gooey and melted (check them about every 10 seconds).  Then use the melted chocolate as "glue" to glue the kisses to the tops of the Nutter Butters. Then use a little chocolate "glue" to attach a mini chocolate chip for a tip! And voila! Yummy acorn treats!
